Through the analysis of four of the fourteen Isidorian citations from the Etymologiae found in the Ars Bernensis, this paper aims to define to which of the three families of the encyclopaedia the model used by the compiler of the Ars belongs. Accepting Holtz’s hypothesis that locates the origin of the Ars in Bobbio, we will try to shed light on the presence of the Etymologiae in that milieu at the end of the eighth century.…
